Click here for an interesting paper on swapping (not the bad kind of swaps) gold and silver based on the gold-silver ratio as the market rises thru to 2016-2018. This paper was written in 2006 and calls the precious metals top in 2016 with a 1-16 ratio.
groovygirl advises using this strategy with only a percentage of your investment and still applying all the investing in physical bullion rules.
You can lose money in this strategy, too. So research, research, research before you take any plunges.
Note the last part of the paper suggests ending the bull market with 70% silver. Groovygirl agrees with this. Only a weird new tax law would make gg change her mind about that division of gold and silver precious metal investments at the top.
Side musing: gg is leaning toward a top in 2018 and a 1-10 ratio at some point. But totally open to new information as we move along.
